A word from an entrepreneur

On Thursday, March 28 at 12:00 noon, the doors of ice cream parlor Talamini will open. Ricardo Talamini and Tamara Nieuwenhuis proudly talk about the family business they continue in Wierden.

In 1933 Gelateria Talamini was founded by my Italian grandfather in Bergen op Zoom. Talamini became a household name in the world of ice cream. My father moved the business to Enschede and there, together with me, prepared artisanal ice cream according to an old Italian recipe. After health problems of my father Angelo Talamini, it was decided to close our beloved ice cream parlor in Enschede at the end of 2021.

Love has already attracted me to beautiful Wierden in 2020. And after two years of ice cream parlor silence, blood is thicker than water. With a lot of passion and enthusiasm, Tamara and I breathe new life into Ice Cream Parlor Talamini, now located in the atmospheric Wierden.

As a born and bred Wierdense, Tamara is very much looking forward to this new challenge. I've often thought about starting an ice cream shop, but the step

not yet taken. In the end, we decided to continue the family business together. We are both very enthusiastic and happy that the name Talamini is back in the Twente region.

We would like to invite you all to the official opening on March 28 at 12 noon. Let's eat an ice cream together at a new chapter for Ice Cream Parlor Talamini in Wierden.
