The thirteenth edition of the European Day of Artisan Gelato will have a special feature: it will be dedicated to the Jubilee, a significant celebration taking place in 2025 that will see pilgrims arriving at St. Peter's from all over the world.
his special edition will not only celebrate the art of artisan gelato but will also provide a unique opportunity to unite culinary tradition with an important moment of spirituality and gathering. Gelato makers from all over Europe will participate with creations inspired by the theme of the Jubilee, promoting a message of peace, hospitality, and sharing among pilgrims and gelato lovers.
La ricetta ufficiale dell'anno sarà determinata attraverso un concorso che si svolgerà durante la fiera Sigep, in programma dal 18 al 22 gennaio.
This event will offer gelato makers across Europe the chance to showcase their creativity and propose new flavors and combinations.
The celebrations of the Gelato day will culminate on March 23 with the offering of the flavor of the year to pilgrims, accompanied by a charity fundraiser to be held in St. Peter's Square. Finally, on March 24th, with ice cream makers from all over Europe who will present the official recipe, thus celebrating the excellence of artisanal ice cream and the value of the European culinary tradition.
