European Artisanal Gelato Day, which has been celebrated every 24th March since 2013
The European Day of Artisan Gelato, wanted by Longarone Fiere and Artglace and dedicated, exclusively by the European Parliament, to a food recognized as a heritage of the entire supply chain.
The official recipe of the year will be determined through a competition held during the Sigep fair, scheduled from January 18 to 22. This event will offer gelato makers across Europe the chance to showcase their creativity and propose new flavors and combinations.
The competition will be held on Monday 22 January 2024, from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., at Artglace booth no. 186 located in Pav. A7 of Rimini Fiera, on the occasion of Sigep 2024.
Participation in the competition is free of charge and all people who work as ice cream makers (owner or employee) in the European Community can participate. The first 24 gelato makers will be admitted to the competition, respecting the chronological order of registration.
On the occasion of the twelfth edition of the European Artisan Gelato Day (Gelato Day), Artglace is organizing a competition among European gelato makers with the dual purpose of promoting, through video images, the "Gaufre du Liège", the official flavor of 2024, and at the same time contributing to the celebration of Gelato Day with the characteristic creativity of gelato artisans.
